How will I study?
You'll study a number of core modules and options. In the summer term, you'll undertake a supervised dissertation, based on a substantial research project. Taught modules are assessed by a variety of methods including:
- literature review
- programming projects
- unseen examinations
- term papers.
The MSc project is assessed by a 12,000-word dissertation.
You’ll complete a substantial MSc project, which is often practical as well as theoretical. You may have opportunities to work with an industrial partner.
Some of our previous students’ project work has led to journal and conference publication, giving them a head start in their careers.
The project demands individual responsibility and promotes skills deveopment in:
- project management and planning
- resourcing and scheduling
- documentation and communication
- critical awareness and creative thinking.
You’re encouraged to seek a project with a commercial/industrial flavour. Finding an industrial sponsor or host is fine, though you’ll still need an academic supervisor.
These are the modules running in the academic year 2017. Modules running in 2018 may be subject to change.
Core modules are taken by all students on the course. They give you a solid grounding in your chosen subject and prepare you to explore the topics that interest you most.
Alongside your core modules, you can choose options to broaden your horizons and tailor your course to your interests.

For the last two years in my software house, I have researched the changing programming language, method and database in software.
How much it effective system and reduce in developing time and why is to meet in their system. It seemed me to support R & D in Information Technology. But I have collected with no widely and lack of term IT fields in my country. I believe as career that it invaluable me to purse M.S in software Engineering and research in the excellent education.
In the eight years that passed to develop outsourcing I earned my undergraduate degree, much has change in my life. While lay down to the higher pressure in-house, I know how to deign and management in software system. For the last two years in R & D department, I have developed the repaid applications and components at my software house in my country.
It is designed and structure with not theoretical and method but base on my knowledge and practical. I have explored the context and approach in the particular usage in my software library. It is more complex and biggest system, more difficult matching in my software system. I believe that it is significant and appreciates me to a career research could be.
I was now determined to focus the widely IT business and global version.
For top 5 % math in my class since secondary and high school, I am very interested to purse engineering subject. When I began my undergraduate as career, I pursed the B.S in physics in University of Mandalay. I excelled in physics, chemistry and math in major.
During growing up the military regime, I pursed the B.S at physics in 3 years closed at 7 years. It is invaluable me to support as career the solid science and math. For my developer years in my country, I excited to good handle the programming language and design in system developing.
Living in the small village at the bench the beautiful river, my father as tailor explained me how to be difficult if find the scope and design the customer's clothes. With it is my age is 11, I did not realize that is important.
Passing the developer in house, I realized that it is appealing aspect me while worked closely in customer site. I have contributed people implement the 5 projects in successful. In those years , I have encourage and experience both education ,and professional , and I decided to enhance the high levels of excellence through out my career in software engineer.
I have always found the overlap and the high dependents in IT leader if the projects have been finished in the customer site. In my experience, the mature organizations have developed the 40 % design and coded, the 20 % installing and maintained, and the 40 % update and hand over in time the small side projects.
They are the lack of mature organization if more increase maintain and hand over. It is significant me to research area as using IT in organization structure. For last three years in my software house, I have written the effective if reduce code in application, database and platform.
Writing with C++, PYTON, TCL, PHP, Java and VB, I challenges to change and database platform, I have the session layer with complex control the vendor software design. It is remarkable and helpful me that research the application and database at any platform in software engineering.
I will purse MS in computer science. Later, I indented this up with a PhD in Information Technology and then, a career in research and development in Industry and education.
I have applied The professional program in Computer Science at Maharishi University of Management. Especially, I delight to Meditation and professional if I am Buddhist. I at now work at the two hour in Meditation daily.
With its strong cadre of experienced faculty, Maharishi will prepare me to become a solid senior technical manger and partner with enlightened vision towards the new direction manifesting in the information Technology filed.
